Scores are divided into domains to display the different areas of development that IDELA measures. Differences in domain scores may point to children’s strengths or weaknesses in particular areas.
Average domain scores are calculated by taking the average scores of all subtasks in that domain. Subtasks within each domain are displayed in graphs below.

The gender breakdown of a data set provides additional insight into the group of children assessed. Significant score differences by gender are not common in this age group but may be present. Research shows that gender gaps tend to increase as children age.
Distribution of Children's Gender
IDELA is meant for children ages 3.5 to 6 years, but some samples include ages two to seven years. Understanding the distribution of ages when looking at IDELA results can help provide context to the average scores.
This report examines the results of IDELA implemented in Zambia's Lufwanyama district.
